My dad use to set a plate of Liederkranz or Limberger on a sun drenched window sill to ripen for a couple of hours. Great for driving the neighbors away and drawing flies. We had window screens so everything was sanitary. 😉

They have the texture if Brie and have a somewhat smoky flavored acquired taste. They also have the ability to clear up a sinus infection.
