You know, at times I really think it would be great to have a personal executive assistant/secretary when I get superfrustrated caught up with busywork at my office.

But at other times, I really have to wonder if some secretaries are worth their sh*t.

Case in point, me on the phone a few minutes ago:

me: Hi this is [Jigga] at [where I work], I'm calling to reschedule our briefing with [Bob]. He missed our last scheduled call on Monday.
secretary: Oh, hello, yes, I'm sorry I didn't respond to you earlier [only took 2 voicemails and an email until finally I CALLED her and got her on the phone]
me: That's okay. Does [Bob] have any time tomorrow morning?
her: Umm, let me see...<mumbles something under breath bout 'stupid [Lotus?] Notes'> ..ahh yes he's free tomorrow at 10:00 AM
me: Great...umm...y'all are Central time, right?
her: Uhh, I can't remember...
me:
her: ...either Central or Mountain...
me: ...what time is it now, honey?
her: umm, 2:16 PM!! (relieved she actually knows something!)
me: <looking up 801 area code...Salt Lake City...Mtn time confirmed> Thanks. We'll call him. Buh bye.
her: uh huh, bye! <click>
me: you better be one hot babe <click>

Rough census estimates place about 4000-5000 people living in caves deep underground, so yes.
