if it you were going to nitpick, it would be yellow mixed with a tiny bit of orange.

oh man, this reminds me of my former boss. As he put it, gold is not technically a color because it is not in the spectrum, but rather a collection of colors and reflectivity and some other things. BTW, did you know that if you hold a thin sheet of gold up to a light, it looks green?
