Is generic memory with Micron chips always CAS2?

When I ordered my memory, I went to PriceWatch.com and found the cheapest memory that said Micron on it. It did not say anything about it's CAS level. All this time I have presumed it was CAS2, but now I am not sure and need to be because of an upcoming CPU upgrade. Any ideas?

No, CAS2 cost a bit more.. but some people sell reprogrammed ones.. most pc100 can be set at cas2 w/o problem.. only the really generic ones can't and will crash.

When I went to pricewatch.com and plugged in "Micron 128 pc100" in to their search area, in the resulting list, most don't say anything about the CAS level. Can I presume these are all CAS 2 or can these be a mix? Would it be better to presume that if it doesn't say CAS2, then it is CAS3 or does Micron even make CAS3 memory?

This is how I bought my memory and need to know if I have CAS2 or CAS3 memory. I need to know this because I am about to upgrade to a PIII 800 and with CAS2 memory, I can overclock it to CAS3 PC133 and get the 800EB instead of just the 800E. Is there some kind of test or program that will tell me what CAS level my memory is?

Programs reads off the SPD so if you reprogram SPD, it'll lie. Better off getting from memory man.
