Nvidia's Quadro series are design for CAD user. (3D graphic designer)
Such as ELSA's Synergy III, and Gloria III video card.
I have done lots modification on both MX series card to Quadro2 MXR, and GTS to Quadro2 PRO.
With the modification and BIOS flash, your "new" Synergy III or Gloria III will perform much faster for CAD.

<< Gamers won't benefit anything from this mod, but for users of professional gfx/CAD programs the new features enabled by the modification will be useful as there may be as high as 40% speedup in those applications >>

Generally, Quadro2 MXR price 3X more than MX, so is it worth the mod? I guess so.

A georce 2 mx is more than quick enough already, no real need to mod it imoh. You would gain far more having more memory than by using the quadro hack.
