Is gaming on windowed mode the same thing as having a smaller monitor basically?

I just bought a 24 inch lg monitor(up from my 22 inch monitor acer) Didn't like the color quality of the acer, so I got a different one.

But my gaming performance is best with my 15 laptop screen(less pixels, means less has to register in my brain, when playing) My k/d ratio is better when playing smaller screen.

Thinking about playing in windowed mode with my new lg monitor to get that same small screen gaming performance effect

thoughts? Is it basically the same thing?

Why don't you just drop the resolution of the game and still play full screen?

Maybe he should play it full screen, but stand further away from the monitor. And also with his feet in an aquarium. Wearing a bow tie.

My only experience with "windowed mode" gaming is using it as part of a work-around for older games on ultrawide monitors. (21:9)

Long as any "border" isn't a distraction it usually works fine.
