Is FX (the network) going to be a contender?

Three good, bordering on great, dramas and FX doesnt seem to be restrained in the same ways that the big 3 networks are.

The Shield

Rescue Me...looks good so far

Nip/Tuck... kind of out there but worth watching

Can FX network be a contender?

I wished the big 3 networks would have great shows like FX. TV needs more nudity and cussing.:D

Absolutely.

The Shield is one of the best TV shows on right now. I haven't seen the other two, but I'll be watching Nip/Tuck soon and it seems to be very well liked as well. I've heard great things about Rescue Me, too.

FX, HBO, and Showtime (with Dead Like Me) are leading the way! I think the only TV show on the big four networks that I love is Arrested Development and 24.

It has a lot going for it right now, definitely...probably THE most original programming for a non-premium cable channel. It's HBO-lite. ;)

HBO and Showtime are great... wish I could afford 'em :(

I was never able to get into The Shield, but Nip/Tuck is a great show.

FX has the balls to push the edge, so their shows are more interesting.

Although i have to say Father of the Pride that is comign out for NBC has potential.
