Is formatting good/bad?

IS there any effects once you reformat your PC/laptop??

NO, there's no lasting effect. Your CPU/Video card have no idea what the data they are handling is, whether it's running a program, gaming, whatever, or formatting.

No problem, it's just normal stuff as far as the computer is concerned.

Well, it is more intense usage compared to, say, cruzing the internets, or editing a Word document. I'd imagine that if your computer was good for 10 years and you did nothing but format it contunuously it might last only 9 years, but then there a lot of other stuff that you do normally that is that intensive too. Don't worry about it.
