Hi, with the current recession, money is somewhat short in the family, and the effects of folding on a power bill are not negligible, so I was wondering, is it possible to use a certain amount of folding points as a tax deduction? I think this would really help our family, though it might be hard to prove it was I who made those points.

Me too. In my experience and meager research there is nothing to count for tax-deductible nor utility breaks for crunching of any kind at the volunteer-computing level in the US.
