Is firefox actually worth it?

Worth what? The endless seconds it takes to download? The horrible torture of clicking ok to install it? The agony of faster browsing?

If the "drawbacks" I mentioned above are too much for you then no, it's definitely not worth it.

Edited: cuz I felt like it

It's worth it even as a backup to the inevitable failure of your IE installation.

What installation? Can you uninstall IE? I don't think so.

IE7 after all is in the works and supposed to be "more secure" but honestly it isn't that hard to be more secure than the current IE is it?!

BTW why is this not in the software forum?

Wow, eight posts before someone pointed out the glaring fact that this is General Hardware, not Software.

Ive never used Firefox. I use MSN Premium 9 for free. I love the fact that Favorites are saved in a remote location. That's really the only reason I use it.

I do, because this is in the WRONG FORUM. There's a reason for separate forums, they should be used.

I'm going to go with 'yes.'

Looks better, doesn't have fifty thousand holes in it, prevents the vast majority of spyware problems caused by browsing, and it has a FAR better icon 🙂

I used IE for a long time, and now it is used for nothing but Windows Update.

yeah it's definitely worth it. stops nearly every pop-up that is thrown at it. with IE i get popups all over the place.
