Is Firefox 2 working out for you?

It crashes a LOT compared with 1.5, im not gonna bother trying to downgrade back to 1.5 as i fear my passwords/bookmarks will go bye bye or somthing. Anyways the only useful thing ive found so far is the "restore session" thing, and it works fantastically. Still dosent give it an excuse to crash a lot though....

Itll crash when i right click and hit open in a new tab somtimes. Also when i try to change my avatar over at planetcnc somtimes. Its tempremental.

yeah it locks up on me sometimes. I don't like that.

but I REALLY Don't like the fact that you have to pay for some of the add-ons for IE7

So far it's been no different for me than 1.5, except for spellcheck. Which isn't perfect, but at least it works.

It's been working the same as all of the other releases. I've been using FF since 0.7 or 0.8( I can't quite remember) and It's always worked great for me. I really dig the fact that it opens links in a new tab now instead of a new window like it used to.

Opera is my main browser, so I don't use Firefox too much. However, I do like Firefox 2.0 and haven't had any problems during the limited time I've used it.

What are you doing when it locks up? Ive narrowed it down to the two situations in my OP.

mine locks up randomly when i click on a link. I haven't paid attention to the other circumstances that are present when i'm clicking it

No lockups yet here with Firefox 2.0 ... However, in some emails, when you click on a link
it will open it in a new Tab despite my having the options set to "open in a new window"
So for now, if I have a link in an email, I Right Click & Select Open in a New Window
That works fine ... otherwise no complaints as yet.

Soviet ... your Bookmarks for Firefox are stored here:

On Windows XP/2000, the path is usually %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\, where xxxxxxxx is a random string of 8 characters. Just browse to C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ and the rest should be obvious.

See link:

Very easy to locate and save them to another location so they will not get lost
