I saw the previews and always wanted to see it, but I'm never in touch w/ TV times so i missed out.

Is there closer? I heard there's a movie coming out about it?

I'm thinking about getting the DVD for it...Is it worth getting the DVD?


Lots of people on the amazon reviews says it's pretty good..
 
I enjoyed it. Had some interesting elements - one world (galaxy) order, rebellion against it. Misfits stuck together through chance rather than a crew of Starfleet grads, mix of future and old west which could vary from cool to tacky. And 2 hot chicks. I recorded them all, hope the movie thing pans out. Better yet would be some network picking up the series.

SportsNight was my favorite show, it lasted 45 episodes, won 3 Emmys, got cancelled. Liked FireFly, it got cancelled too. I must be a curse 🙁
 
I started to enjoy it. Too bad it's cancelled.

Another show I like was something called "Earth and Beyond"? I can't remember the name. I think the guy who did X-Files did it. I really liked that show.
 
bahh i thought you meant the beer, never saw the show it looked generic.

StormRider: i think the show your talking about was Space: Above and Beyond. i liked that one.
 
The quality really varied on the 3 that I watched -- one was very good (if a little cliched in spots), one was OK, one was hokey. Not anywhere near the quality of Buffy seasons 1-5 or even Angel in my opinion.

I'd suggest renting instead of buying. SG-1 and Babylon 5 are much better SF shows.

yeah, space: above and beyond was awesome..i really liked that show...

i really like sci fi....and when i saw the previews for firefly, for some reason, i was reminded of cowboy bebop...

Bebop was better in every way than Firely -- character designs, visuals, stories, dialog. If you go in thinking it's Bebop prepare to be an unhappy camper.

aha i know...i know bebop in every way is probably superior to any sci fi miniseries ever produced..but I haven't seen a good live action sci fi tv series yet since...well..since space above and beyond....
