Is fedex's tracking system real time, or do they do batch updates, like now the site is temporarily unavailable,


do they take the site down every few hours for a few minutes and update the databases and throw it back up

or

is it more or less real time?

Every time the barcode is scanned it's updated.

It gets scanned at pick up, distribution and sort facilities, back on the truck for delivery, and then when signed or delivered.
