Is FastTrak-100 <<really>> faster than FastTrak-66?

Hi guys,

I want to run two 40 GB HD's as Raid-0 (that gives me max. performance, right?)

They are ATA-100 drives, but I want to save some money by buying the FastTrak-66 RAID controller. Will it be slower than their FastTrak-100 RAID controller? The HD itself can only move a few megs per second of course... but if the data is in the HD's cache, then it would move it as fast as the ATA controller allows.

Do you know of any benchmarks or comparisons between these 2 controllers?
Please let me know! Post everything you have.

Thanks!!

I had both a 66 and a 100 at one point. There were small differences in performance but there was no real world difference. BTW, I have a Fasttrak66 for sale if you decide to go that route. E-mail me if you are interested.
