Is FAO Schwartz in Manhattan still open?

I know they declared bankruptcy a year or two ago, but I thought I heard that the famous NYC store was still open. THeir website doesn't provide any info, and the number I was able to find lead to voicemail for a corporate office. Does anyone know if the Manhattan store is still open?

Hopefully closed for good. Nice goods, VERY inflated prices. I saw a teddy about 3 feet tall for $200. It had better be made of satin/silk/cashmere and able to obey commands to be worth that much

Yeah, that's my alternate choice, but the location of FAO would've worked out better (closer to Central Park)

Currently, the store in NYC is closed. There is no new tenant and FAO insists that they are going to reopen with a different product mix (only high end stuff) in "Summer 2004". I had a meeting in that building 2 weeks ago and there was no sign of construction in the store.
