Is Exchange Server connectively limited to MS Outlook?

Is there any other way to access an Exchange Server mailbox, and an Exchange Server address book, from any other program besides Outlook? Say....Mozilla, for example?
 
You can enable IMAP for mail, if there's an LDAP option you can probably use that for the address book. But for a straight MAPI connection you need Outlook (Evolution is supposed to support a plugin that you can buy to make it work, havn't tried it though).
