is eSATA that much worth it over USB 2.0?

yesterday i got two Seagate FreeAgent Pro 320gig USB2.0/eSATA hard drive for $50 each

i realized my motherboard didn't come with external eSATA adaptors so now i have to buy an adaptor and cables. but I realized i can just go USB 2.0 and get a cheap hub. what should I do? does eSATA have that much of a transfer rate advantage over USB 2.0?

LOL, you saved your self $100 on this deal, and you are concern about a $5 eSATA bracket.
 
true eSATA can be at least twice as fast as USB, of course that depends on the hard drive too.
Backing up in half the time sounds good to me...

Agree with Zep. I can attest to the better speed. I have an external Nexstar case that has both eSATA and USB 2 connection ports. Cloning the same drive takes about 3 times longer with USB than with eSATA.
