It seems to be easyer then most languages since it dosent give everything a gender....like pretend u spoke german and had to learn chinese that would be harder, or sounds harder...

you know what I find wierd? here in New York State it is a requirement that I must take 4 years of English to get a regents diploma. There is a stupid irony to this though... I speak english... English only, people around me speak english and english only. Yet I must take four years of it to get a piece of paper that says I no longer have to attend high school... How stupid is that?

It was the first language at school (in India) but we rarely spoke English outside of the classroom. The script and dialog is definately easier than German, Chinese and Hindi. Besides, I think in English even if you speak a different dialect you are still able to communicate, this is not true for many other languages (Hindi for eg.)

Edit: Inspite of that, I have to take the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) exam to get into college here in the US :(. I am 22 and will be transferring next fall. :D

Well, here in the U.S. the English language shouldn't be difficult to learn at all because the person/people trying to learn it would have so much exposure to it, that it'd be really easy to pick up gradually and eventually become fluent.

Even though I remember my high school Spanish teacher saying that "English is one of the hardest languages to learn, and if you can learn that, you can learn Spanish." (I never did like her)

Anyways, if you're trying to learn English in Saudi Arabia or something, I think that it'd be a lot harder since you wouldn't have much exposure to it at all.
