is enermax nosietaker 485 compatable?

Mwave sells the active pfc version of that power supply for the same price.
I own that power supply and like it, but I'm not running an sli rig. I'm sure it's fine.

I can't say this for everyone, but the first EG495P-VE I got from newegg was apparently DOA. It wouldn't power the A8N-SLI and might have even damaged it, but another user Cy6nUsX1 had great success with it and the same board. I am awaiting a replacement psu from newegg so I will update once I test that thing out.

The reason I say it was DOA was because it wouldn't even power my old A7V333 mobo. It just spun the heatsink fan a half second then stopped, just like how it spun the chipset fan on the A8N-SLI for a half second then stopped. But it didn't damage the A7V333 so I don't know what happened to the SLI, maybe the BIOS cause lots of people are having problems with that.

So I say the enermax is fine, maybe you should look into something that has 1 single 12v rail instead of 2 to avoid any potential problems. Having a psu tester might be a good option to. I just bought one, but after I RMA'ed my first enermax back because I wanted to make sure that my other power supply wasn't bad either and was causing problems. But this all is making me really mad.
