Is Enermax EG465P AMD approved?

Hello all,

I jumped on AMD's approved power supply website and noticed that the Enermax 350W and 300W PS were present, but the 431W PS wasn't.

Why is this? Is it not approved?

I think the reason is probably because if they had it on there then some people might start to think that you have to have a 430w PS to run an AMD processor. Don't worry about it, it's a great power supply.

Apparently AMD does a LOT of testing with the 5V and 3V rails to see how they perform with AMD processors. Although the 431 may not be approved, it probably gets the job done just fine - lots of people use them with Athlons with no adverse effects.

I wouldn't worry about it. The way I see it, any Enermax that puts out over 250W of combined power works fine.
