It looks like a sweet PSU but is it approved/recommended by AMD (their damn whole approved site is down)? I know the regular non-whisper 350 is AMD approved so how about this one? Thanks.
I know the enermax whisper PSU's are great from personal experience.... But one thing detracts from it's luster -- It is loud! For a supposedly "quiet" power supply, it is actually quite noisy. PC Power and Cooling makes the silencer PSU which is just as reliable, a bit more expensive, and darn near silent. I hope I helped.
I've been looking into this and your best bet is to modify the power supply with quiet fans. 2cooktek has an article on this. I have a 330W Enermax coming with my Antec 1000 series case from newegg. I'm going to rip those stock fans and put some quiet ones in there. It really annoys me how the power supply fans are so damn noisy.
Advertising it as a "Whisper" pwr supply is false advertising IMHO. I have a 365FC that is quieter than many ps's but far from silent. The bottom fan on mine hasn't even kicked in but it still has a audible hum/whine.
