I got the Antec 1030 case on Newegg with the upgraded 330W PS from Enermax. I have since been reading alot of people saying you need the 400W or better PS and so on. I haven't completed building my system yet, but when I will be the specs will be as follows...

Athlon XP 1800+ or 1900+
ASUS 8200 Ti 500
Thermaltake 6CU Cooling Fan.
ASUS A7V266-E or Soyo Dragon+ MB
Soundblaster Audigy Platinum
40GB 7200RPM IBM HD
Liteon 16x10x40 CDRW
Pioneer 106S DVD
512 CAS2 Mushkin RAM

My question is....can i build this with a 330W Enermax PS. If not, what are some recommendations. I was considering the Antec 412x PS.

I would think so but I only have a 900 Thunderbird in my computer which may consume more power than the new xp's. I have cdrom, plextor 16x, 2 120 fans, radeon 7500, 1 80mm fan, 5.5 hard drive cooler w/2 fans, 1 40 gb maxtor, 20 gb IBM, 15 GB maxtor, volcano II heatsink on mine.

i would say that it should be plenty for you. it might not be if you are gonna go with water cooling but otherwise i bet it should be fine.

330w is definitely enough. i have a similar system to yours with a 1.4tbird running 24/7 under 100% load most of the time for 4 months without any probs. i also have the 330w enermax. good psu.

that will be plenty, and then some. you will be able to add a number of drives to that setup before your power supply feels even a little bit of stress.
