Is electrical tooth brush worth it?

That is the question. It cost more than a regular brush. For the people who uses the electrical tooth brush, is it worth it for you to dish out the extra $$$?

well since i got my first one free from my dentist a couple yrs ago, i haven't used a regular toothbrush since than. i feel as if my teeth are cleaner when i use it as well. maybe it's a huge marketing scheme but it's worked well for many ppl

I use the Oral-B cheapy. Has replaceable battery and heads. I have never felt my teeth this clean with a conventional toothbrush. I would assume a sonicare to be better, but I don't have the cash for it.

Personally, the benefit for me is that it can reach my molars where a regular brush can't or causes me to gag.

In Russia, electrical toothbrush brush you.

Had one of those plain jane oral-B brushes and I liked it, until one day I must've got too frisky and it somehow squirted oil in my mouth. That taste was enough to keep me heading to the old fashioned toothbrush section for the last couple years.

I've been using a Braun/Oral-B job for a few years now. Its great for when you're stumbling home at ungodly hours of the morning and can't stay awake. You just stick it in and it does all the work for you (yes, I know I'm leaving myself wide open with that).

they are worth it if you brush too hard like most americans. My gums have started to recede and I'm only 24.

I use Oral-B because some reviewers at amazon said that the oscillating motion is what cleans the teeth and that the sonicare is worse than using a regular tooth brush because of the motion the toothbrush uses sux.

I have the cheap Oral B Crossaction Power (I never knew that was the full name), and compared to a regular toothbrush, it freaking rocks.

My teeth get so clean, especially my very back ones on the top, which are hard to brush with a regular toothbrush. I could never go back to a manual. The Oral B is just too good. The oscillating motion seems to really work.

I've never used the more expensive electronic models, but I wonder how much better they clean than my Oral B. It might be worth it; I dunno. I am interested in the new rechargeable Crossaction, though.

I use the Oral-B Professional Care brush (cost me $70 >_< ), and it works like a charm. It spins and pulsates and oscillates, which my dentists says is the best motion for teeth and gums. It spoils me though, because when I have to use normal toothbrushes from time to time, I'm too lazy to go through the motions 😛 Regardless, after I started using an electric toothbrush several years ago, my dentist always comments on how much healthier my teeth are, which means less money spent on fillings... do it for your teeth, it's worth it! 😀

Sonicare is worth it.

I've got to agree...just bought it a few days ago and love it. My teeth have never felt so clean after brushing. Also, it makes brushing a lot easier and helps deter gum receding from brushing so hard. My roommate had it for that reason--his gums had been damaged from brushing incorrectly (and thus had to have surgery) and the Sonicare was recommended to him by his doctor.

😕
You're supposed to do it backwards... You totally fvcked that up.
If you think is incorrect, perhaps you would like correct it for me, da?

Problem is, the inverse of your statement would say that you brush the toothbrush, when in reality that isn't the case. You brush your teeth, or you can say, for the sake of making a soviet Russia comment, that you brush your teeth with a toothbrush.

I think the best application would be: In soviet Russia, tooth brushes you.

yeah they are excellent, get one that rechrges itsself as they chew up bettery power quick, and get a good one as well. they last for years.

hey, that wasnt oil. 😉. what are your flatmates like?

Worth every cent/penny. I had pretty stained teeth till I used electrical. That, coupled with flossing == zero dental problems/patchups for over 4 years straight now.
