I need to send faxes occasionally but don't have a house phone (cell phone only). Is eFax my best bet?

I've used free trials of eFax and Rapidfax multiple times (I always cancel before the montly fees come up...usually just needed it for a couple faxes related to changing jobs) and they both worked just fine.

I have used a bunch of them. they were all pretty much the same in terms of getting and recieving faxes. he difference lies in value and efax is decent on that level.

BTW I use myfax

You'll need a scanner send send hard copy faxes through the internet, but the best ones I've found are
1) MyFax:
2) Trust Fax

If you're like me, and only need to send occasionally, sign up for the 1 year Trust Fax for $20.00. 70 pages total (incoming & outgoing, +.10 per page over that).

Yeah, I've got a scanner. My cell phone (Verizon) gets service as good as a landline where I live so I don't use a house phone. Only downside is no faxing :) Trust Fax looks pretty good, thanks mucho!

eFax is expensive! I pay ~$140 a year, but it is a business expense. I like the service, but you do have to deal with Indians, and I haven't tried other vendors for comparison.
