is ebay the place to buy poker chips?

trying to be cheap... would ebay be the bext place to buy? or are there other retaliers that carry them?
 
Be careful about shipping. Most ebays sellers charge way too much for shipping poker chips. I've seen rolls of 50 11.5 gram composites for $1.99 + $19.99 shipping. I got mine through 5stardeal. Good prices, and shipping specials.
 
seems ebay has the best pricing (thus far). i just don't like the idea that sellers mega rape me on shipping.
 
Search in your zip code. Guy I work with got an excellent deal on a VERY nice chip set. He bought a standard set and noticed the distribution point was here, so he ok'd a pickup and drove down there. When we got there they offered him and upgraded version for just a bit more. In the end he got a really ncie set really cheap.
 
my friend got a set of really nice WPT poker chips for something like $150. I can't remember how many there were but we play with them every week 🙂

I dont think costco has them anymore. I work at one in florida and we stopped carrying it after christmas. it was an awesome set though, for 59.99
 
If you can find them at Costco, they sell the 11.5g ones... but they always sell out fast.

I've heard about bad experiences on ebay with buying chips... unless they specifically list the weight, i wouldn't depend on the pics.

Another vote for CostCo B&M, I've seen them and they're cheap.

if u spot my $600, i'm all for it.

but as for ebay, yeah i know they rape u on shipping. but i'm not a hardcore player, and i don't really have any other chips to compare those chips to, so i doubt i will be missing anything. plus the price (after shipping) aint bad.
