You're just buying the wrong things. My last ebay purchase was a vacuum pump. Explosion proof motor, stainless steel head, teflon valved. Wouldn't suprise me if it sells for $500-$1000, I got it for $50

As others have pointed out, there are tons of good deals on eBay.

Not to mention the hundreds of things you simply CAN"T find anywhere else. Out of print books, some accessories and car parts I would have had to search forever for. Sometimes you don't get the best deal on stuff like that, but if its stuff you have to have and yet can't get anywhere else ....

eBay rocks IMO. I love it

ebay is best for finding things that otherwise would be hard to find, as far as low prices or deals, those really depend on demand.

Its the fact idiots are willing to pay 300 dollars for an old laptop.

I think some people think a new laptop is still 2000 dollars.

I love ebay, ive made 1000s of transactions over the years and rarely do I have problems. I recently starting collecting football cards again and ebay has helped immensely, (and I make a profit on them).

Electronics can be a ripoff if you're a buyer, thanks to google checkout, i got a Kingston 1 GB SD card for $6 the other day from buy.com.
