Is DVI worth it?

Enormous difference on the Dell 2000FP 20" LCD. Big difference with a good videocard, in particular.

Also, search forums (all of them) for DVI. I just found a lot of threads where you can see related information.
 
If you're going w/ LCD, it's absolutely essential.
If you're going w/ CRT, it's not critical but it's a performance boost.

someone told me that using a dvi-vga adapter on a card with dvi out, to your crt is better, i argued with him and he will not believe me that the image quality does not get better, considering its on a CRT. i think he may be right though in an aspect

anyone know?
 
analog conversion quality varies. it can be reasonably good. how much extra is dvi? for a lowly 15" it isn't going to make a huge difference.
