Is Dust Off Or Air in The Can Bad To Clean The PC ?

Hello I would like to know if the "dust-off" or "air in a can" is bad for your pc when clean the dust on the add in card or mother board. Thank You

usually isnt, i would get a vaccum hose sucking while blowing the dust off... especially the power supply.. if enough dust gets in and it sticks around heating up the thing, it'll blow.. happen to my friend...

i've been using that air-in-a-can stuff for years on my PC, works great

my friend used to use an air compressor (the type you fill up your car tires with)

It's fine, as long as it's not the special cleaning solution to keep the dust off in the future (comes out as some kind of foam or liquid).

Vacuum-cleaners are too bulky to get inside the case, and you can accidently break something with one. Blowing with your mouth is even worse, because you'll end up spitting on your CPU 🙂

what about static or the liquid that comes out of the air in the can ?????????????? Is the small plastic bristle paint brush good, when it comes to static ?????????????????

the liquid is fine, it's just hfc134a and will evaporate almost instantly. remember we are talking about when the computer is off. dont blow it out with it running. hot parts+cold air=condensation=no more computer
