Is doing nothing, basically like doing heroin?

The buzz that comes with sitting down and doing absolutely nothing seems to compare with similar instances of hard drugs.

How is this even legal?

you tell me how is this not banned

Yea, I don't get workaholics either. But, being lazy all day is even worse. IMO, if you work hard and want to relax by sitting down in front of the TV with a beverage feels so much better than just being a slug all day. It feels like you earned that right. But, if you're just sitting around doing nothing than relaxing isn't even a thing. You were lazy all day. I know when I sit around doing nothing I usually feel worse. We were meant to move as human beings. There are times to be lazy all day though. I wouldn't want to make it a habit. Even if I were retired or had a million in the bank I wouldn't want to sit all day doing nothing. It's not good for your well being/body to sit around and do nothing. There are studies to back that up as well.

A co-worker mentioned dopamine fasting to me. It's where you spend 24 hours doing absolutely nothing except things that don't give you a dopamine hit - drinking water, sitting and thinking, writing, walking. It's supposed to "reset" your brain so that those little addictive things (social media, TV) that get in the way of your life don't give you such large dopamine hits.

I've yet to try it, but I can see how it could work out well.
