Is Disgaea for the DS worth it?

It's only $10 bucks, but I hate the idea of waste if it's just going to sit around, not getting played . . ..

Never played NIS SRPGs, but I do love the genre in general; how is it both as a game itself and as a port?

I have it on PSP. I like it a lot. It's a lot like the old school RPGs. Doesn't hold your hand. It's challenging but a lot of fun. Great combos, great story. The graphics supposedly aren't as good as the PSP version, though the later is a near-perfect port of the original PS2 with added features.

For $10 though, it's definitely worth it. You're going to get around 100 hours of gameplay for that.

Yes, if you don't have a PSP. I think you lose some voice-overs of the characters, but that is it.

Fun game to play, you can power-lever to crazy numbers, and even level up your weapons/armor. And it has IMHO a great storyline as well.
