When I google demonoid, the the link to their direct websites doesn't come up anymore. I know it used to be demonoid.me

Yes, it's gone and it's not coming back. Such is life when you're a dirty pirate.

Since it took all of 3 posts to devolve into a "please help me commit crimes" thread, this thread is locked.

Gone like a freight train
Gone like yesterday
Gone like a soldier in a Civil War
Bang Bang
Gone like a '69 Cadillac
Like all the good things
That are never coming back.

Are torrents still even competitive with the advent of rapidmegamediafileshareupload and clones?

I thought upload sites were dead due to the megaupload bust? they take down copyrighted files right away because they are scared.

I have been using NZB Matrix and Sabnzbd to download from newsgroups. But my newserver that my ISP offers only has a 30 day retention so I have to go to torrent sties to get old files.

lol @ torrents and "private" trackers. What is it that keeps the MPAA and RIAA and CIAA and FBIAA from being invited again?

Dude, get a real newsserver. 3 1/2 year retention, 110,000+ groups

TPB is pretty much the most resilient torrent site there is. I'm surprised at how well they've managed over the years to stay afloat. I'm actually surprised the US government has not taken it over and extradited the owners like they did with megaupload. There has to be a secret to why they went after megaupload (which was not even for pirated content) and not an actual torrent site. Either way I'm just glad TPB has been doing so well.

Every time one goes down, another takes its place.

New stuff can sometimes get removed quickly, but of course it eventually gets posted again.

I don't want to say I can help you out, but I can help you out. PM me and expect a speech though.
