is cyber considered cheating?

and does it make it different if you know the person or not....this is more or less a survey for a psych project for school.

read:
"survey" "for" "a" "psych" "project" "for" "school"

j/k 🙂

IMHO: Yes.

But then again I'd also consider a lot of things to be cheating, including getting a lap dance at a strip club, & even (GASP!) porn.

Is it considered cheating? Depends. If I ever do it I just mess with people, and usually Napalm is right there.
Is it different if you know the person? It is, and I guess I would consider it cheating then.

thanks you input has been very helpful...I am doing a paper on internet and relationships and any little bit of input helps. 🙂

Usually yes, however it depends entirely on the couple. There are quite a few people out there who would say no.

The way I see it is if you caught your significant other doing it would you get mad. If the answer is yes then you shouldn't do it either.

yes its sharing an intimate moment with someone other than your signif. other.

*kat. <-- doesnt think porn is cheating though

Yes. It's emotional cheating, creating distance between you and your partner.
Cheating for those without the guts to do it for real.

There's a simple formula to apply when figuring out whether or not you are cheating on someone:

Would your significant other would be hurt if he/she was notified of what was going on?

If you answer yes, then it's cheating.

Relationships differ across the board - what may be concidered cheating for one couple may not be for another - but this question encourages honesty and a deep understanding of the other which are both vital to a succsessful relationship.
