Hi,

I'm building a new system. Is CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX PSU appropriate for the following rig:

Link from newegg

Case COOLER MASTER Centurion 5
CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L
RAM CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Hard Disk Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA 3.0 Gb/s
Video Card EVGA GTS 250 512 MB
Sound Card Integrated
CD/DVD-ROM HP 20X DVD±R DVD SATA Model DVD1060I

Expansion Plans : no sli/crossfire., but I might upgrade to GTX 285/295 in 2 yrs.
Might add more hardisks, and do some overclocking.

Is the above PSU enough? If it's overkill, any alternatives ?

Slightly overkill, but sometimes you want some overhead. There's tons of alternatives obviously, really a matter of why you want this psu. For a modular I'd say it's a very good current choice still. If you don't need modular, then there's definitely better and cheaper choices.

Thx all. Down the line, I might put in one of the GTX 285. I was wondering if the PSU corsair 520hx had enough juice.
