Is Coolermaster eXtreme Power 500w sufficient for cpu and vga overclocking?

What do you think about that psu? it's in my budget and it's available in my country. Maybe i could find an 550w version of that if i keep searching...

I intend to oc an e4x00 to 3.2ghz or maybe a lil more and a 8800gt to maybe 700+/1900/2000, i'll add to that a 320g wd sata2 (aybe also my old 80g sata1) and a DVDRW, nothin else.

What do you think?

Maybe you could've posted a link where we'd see the rails of the unit. Wattage in itself looks like enough if it's distributed well on the rails. I went to the Cooler Master website and somehow dug out that it supposedly has two +12V rails, so that could indicate enough power to run that system.

But I'll give you my normal recommendation. Any one of the Seasonic S12II series or Corsair VX series is enough for that system and better quality than the CoolerMaster.

Coolermasters extreme units, the 550/650w at least as far as I know are seventeam OEM psu's. Nothing wrong with them. To bad they are 25-30c continous though. My 650w unit 'only' has 32-34a on the 12v rail(s). That's somewhat the least you want to have for a overclocked c2d and a 8800gt like videocard. Antec earthwatts 500w does the trick, so does a corsair 450vx. What website you ordering from ?

Thank for the replies, i live in Uruguay so some brands are nearly impossible to get here, i like the corsair because it has 12cm fan to keep things quiet... i'll see if i can get it here, or in argentine. What do you mean with 20-30c continous? celsius degrees? that's hot for a psu?
