Is Cooler Master any good?

I want to buy a Cooler Master case. It's the Cooler Master Wavemaster. It looks like a good aluminum case with 2mm aluminum coating. If there is anyone who has had any experience with this guy, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share that experience with me. Thanks.

PS: I would also like to know if extra fan mounting is at all possible with this case.

From my experience with Coolermaster products they are EXCELLENT... They don't use flimsy or thinner aluminum, but the thicker, heavier, stuff. Fit and finish is top notch as well. My two case brands of choice are Coolermaster and Antec (in that order)...

cooler master is among the best case makers. Antec, cooler master, lian-li, and silverstone are the best in quality. the best case maker overall is defintely antec for their price, quality, super psu's, quietness, and looks.

I was looking at a TT Tsunami till I saw the the blck coolmaster wavemaster...fit and finish look real good..and the removable mobo tray..awesome....

pricey...but what the heck...just need to find out if my OCZ Powerstream would fit

it should fit fine from what i've read from others. 🙂

Mik3y

do you know where you saw this..it is a bit pricey to buy and find out I am stuck...

This one nice case...I have not bought a case in 3yrs...Antec SX830...which is nice

i'll see if i can find it. i read about it somewhere in either a wave master review or psu review. i forget which. anyways, i googled them up a while ago, so i really have no idea which site i read it about, but i do remember people mentioning all this in a thread here before. with the space the wave master has inside, it should fit any normal atx psu. cases like the lian li pc-v1000 doesnt fit some psu's because it is designed entirely different from a standard atx architecture. because of that, they limit the room on the length of the psu, but i'm 100% sure that the ocz psu will fit, because psu makers HAVE to make them all the same height and width, otherwise, it wouldnt be standard atx. 🙂 anyways, cooler master is one of the companies with more flexible cases, so whatever is out there should fit fine. 😀 i hope this helps. also, i'll see if i can find what i read before for you.

Mik3y, I hope you're right about the PSU. I have an OCZ PSU being delivered this week, and judging by the dimensions, it may just barely fit in my Coolermaster ATC-201SX. Height and width are of course the same, but the OCZ is about an inch and a half longer than my Antec...

well, make it more like 95% sure. 🙂 still, dont take my judgements on it for sure since it's been a while since i read about it.

the OCZ Powerstreams are 7" not 5.5"in length(atx std is 5.9x3.4x5.5)...over at Xoxide..they say certain psu will not work with the Wavemaster....and they were 6.75" in length

I have tried to email the company...but I can not get any info from them..coolmaster.com..said they do not have that kinda of info..huh???

oh well I will keep looking

you get what you paid for with cooler master. pricey, but quality products. other brands like aspire and raidmax are cheap, and the cases are just that. cheap.

just an added note: i have a beantech aluminum case and the quality is on par with lian-li. they should definitely be up there with the rest of the big dogs.

It's CoolerMaster and Lian-Li in my opinion... no one else comes close. and no, not Silverstone either!

The only thing that sucks about the wavemaster is the cooling abilities... is a sweet looking case though!

cooler master is technically the parent of silverstone. silverstone was created from a former cooler master employee. though it's still young, i have no doubt that quality is any different. 🙂
