i heard someone saying that this is a good way to increase your performance at your job and in your life

so i have tried for a few weeks, but so far it mostly depressing

though i did get a job with a %20 raise, so maybe it is working :hmm:

When I was doing my MBA, one of my organizational behavior professors who is a psychology guy by training and is (allegedly) an expert in the field mentioned that all research indicates you should not concentrate on improving your weaknesses. Rather, you should focus on your strengths.

The idea is you should make any shortcomings irrelevant by finding the right type of work, the best way to do it, or work with colleagues who mitigate those weakness; if you suck at math, make sure you got a numbers person on your team.

In short: Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. So says the research.

Not concentrating on them, but rather realizing them, and then change them for the better.

If you're just concentrating on your shortcomings, and do nothing about them, all you'll get is depressed.
