Is college a requirement for Journalists ?

no clue about hiring policies, but judging from what i see... i doubt it is required to produce what most journalists produce.

You can get a *better* chance at getting hired by a decent publication with a journalism degree, but no, I don't think it's required. You just have to be able to write well.

It would help if you had demonstrable skills and background in writing, as well as journalism, itself. A college education gives you is the tools to do the job, but it is not a guarantee of success. College is a good place to get both critical writing skills and some documentation that you have prepared for a career in the field, and the degree will put you ahead of other job applicants who lack one.
