Is CNET Advantage a good deal?

I plan on purchasing several items for a new dream PC in the next few weeks (AthlonXP 1800+, GEForce 3 Ti500, KT266A mobo, (2) 60GB HD, 1 GB RAM, video capture card, case, etc.). Since several of these items are new, I know the price will be dropping after I buy them. The CNET Advantage for $5/month will PP for 90 days after purchase, plus double the warranty. It seems too good to be true. Has anyone else had experience with this program? I know Amex Blue does the same thing, but previous indiscretions would prohibit me from qualifying <IMG border=0 src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif">
