Is chrome very slow for you iPad 3gen users?

Chrome has slowed to a crawl for me. I find myself having to copy and paste links to safari that is very smooth. Chrome is pretty choppy now.
 
Chrome on iOS is Safari, except without the fancy bits that make it go faster. (It's using Safari to display web pages, just like every other app has to.)

Just use Safari.
 
I use, Mercury, which is based on Chrome. It'll run slow sometimes. Don't know why. Always throws up memory warnings too. Atomic has always been one of the best iOS browsers but it hasn't been updated since iOS6.
