Is Centrino 750 worth $100 more than 740?

Hi everyone!

I am currently shopping for a new laptop and I am wondering about the following:

I have very limited $$$, so, is it really worth spending $100 more for a Centrino 750 instead of a centrino 740 (Dell XPS 140). Maybe I'd rather use the $100 and buy a 9 cell battery instead.

What say you?

speed difference isn't really all that different. I'd personally use the $100 for the battery, that would probably prove more useful.

It's my gut feeling too. I wonder when the real difference occurs or becomes noticeable... Maybe with a 2.0 Ghz? ALthough I think it has more to do with the feeling of knowing one has almost the fastest available. Besides, I assume that upgrading the cpu in a future upgrade is probably not THAT hard if need be.

Yeah, get the battery. It's a lot more useful than a tiny performance difference.
