Is CBS' coverage of the NCAA tourny showing up as 1080i for anyone else?

There's no real broadcast standard for 1080p.

120/240hz TVs can convert theactrical movies back to 1080p/24 if the image processor detects it properly. 1080i/60 is still far more detail than 1080p/24...so I'd always prefer 1080i/60.

Broadcast/Cable/TV was NEVER 1080p. Only Bluray/HD DVD was.

Could've sworn I saw something about it being in 1080p.....but then again they couldn't do it just for one broadcast...maybe I dreamed it.

Of course. If you knew anything about 1080p, you'd know that it'd break HDTV compatibility standards and be news in and of itself.
