thinking of relocating to the east coast. Never been to Cary, is it comparable? Irvine has great weather, good schools, low crime and is nice but a bit too expensive.

It's always considered to be one of the best places to live in America. Low crime as well.

CARY = Containment Area for Relocated Yankees.

it kinda sucks; unless you're into the boring, sterile, suburban thing; and constant lack of water.

but at least Raleigh is nearby.

West Coast is the best coast.

Cary is way different than the west coast in both the people and the atmosphere. I like that general area and it isn't far from RTP which is another nice area to live.

This.

If I was white, I'd just move to an inexpensive place like Charlotte NC or Minnesota MN and be happy.

Charlotte reminds me of a city that someone just started throwing up buildings and streets without any planning, just random housing and businesses. It is a chaotic mess compared to Cary. Last time in Charlotte I felt like my GPS was going to go up in smoke, poor thing even started stuttering giving directions.

I only mentioned Charlotte because compared to Cary, there are better jobs there.
Isn't Bank of America headquartered there? And there are other similar firms nearby and good jobs in general.

I don't think BofA is hiring considering all the trouble they have had. RTP and Cary are good for tech jobs, you have IBM, Garmin, Cisco, Redhat, Cree - high output LED, etc

Do Asians tip less because they get shitty service or do waiters give Asians shitty service because they tip less?

Not a bad area. NC in general is a friendly place to live with good people. Taxes in general aren't bad and employment is comparable to similar areas. Gun laws are very forgiving, especially compared to the Peoples Republic of California if your into that sort of thing.
