is canon s230 being discontinued?

i can't find it in stock anywhere except BB.... no go at CC, good guys, staples, etc etc..

i thought this gem was released not too long ago 😛
 
S230 is one of the top new models. If in short supply it's either because the wise are buying them out, or not much stock has been sent to stores yet.

I have an S30 and if I was in the market now I would get the S230.

Anybody have any insight into why the S30 is still about $50 more than S230 most places? (about $450 vs $400)
(and plz don't post where it can be had for less, that's not what I'm asking)🙂
 
Because the s30 is a better camera when considering the controls you have when taking the picture.
 
oh mandropped my s30.. HUGE DENT IN BODY
PART OF THE Of THE BOTTOM, IS STICKING OUT.... very sad.. but seems to takes pics fine.. maybe a motnh befoere the camera dies.. i jsut got the camer too... had it for about 2 weeks
