Zip codes are usually relatively small areas, so it's very likely that addressing something either way will get it to the same place.

There are often multiple small boros/townships in a single zip code, so Canoga Park may be part on Winteka's zip code.

The simple answer is yes and no.
Although they are different cities, they share the same zip code.
They are right next to each other but named differently.
I lived in Winnetka and moved to canoga park a few miles away but the zip code remained the sam.

As far as Yahoo! maps goes, if it changes it to Winnetka it' sstill the same address you were looking for in Canoga Park.

Hope this helps.:)

Actually, they're all the same city (LA). The names "Winnetka" and "Canoga Park" are basically for mailing purposes only. All are within LA city boundries.

Zip codes do not always follow neighborhood names in LA city limits.

The neighborhood of Winnetka is bounded by Desoto Ave on the west, Winnetka Ave to the east, Nordhoff St to the north and Victory Blvd on the South.

Canoga Park and Winnetka are adjacent community areas in the San Fernando Valley. They are both actually part of the city of Los Angeles. There are overlaps in the definitions of many such areas in L.A. For example, I live in North Hills, but it is also part of what is called Sepulveda. Similarly, West Hills and Canoga Park are essentially the same. I suspect it has more to do with realestate marketing than anything else.

I agree. I grew up in the Valley (Granada Hills), and it ain't what it used to be. The center has turned into one giant slum. It's really a bummer. I favor the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village/Agoura area myself now.
