I'd like to know too. It would be way easier for me to tack on an extra year here instead of going somewhere else (and cheaper).

Dude. It doesn't matter where you get a BS or MS. It only matters when you're first looking for a job, and maybe not even then.

It matters to a certain extent, but it's not the most important factor in engineering.

You still looking for that "first job" so yes, I would agree.

Best bet is not to rely on the name of the school to get a job. Internships, networking, etc are the real keys.

Yeah name isn't a huge factor, but all else equal it puts you a little bit ahead. The difference can be made up like you mentioned.

Depends on the industry also, most of my family works in defense and no one can pull any favors for me because of the transparency and all the big companies have sued so many times for nepotism.

At anyrate, this doesn't really apply to anyone who is gonna graduate in the recovery.
