As the summary states, I believe I left on a crt monitor at church, so, that's from sun. night till wed. night that the monitor will be on displaying exactly the same thing throughout. do current monitors still have a burn-in problem? I don't think so, but, just making sure...

Thanks!

I guess it depends on the monitor but I believe over time they all have potential for burn in. I don't give any of my monitors that opportunity. You should be alright for that time period.

No they dont. If anything like that were to happen just hit the Degaus button. Also most current monitors have power saving or sleep modes. You shouldn't have anything to worry about as long as it is newer than like '96 or somethin.

Like "Xplaya91" said, with Sleep mode and such, you shouldn't have a problem. I've also read before that the newer technology in monitors now keep this from happening. The experts claim that Screen Savers are just for looks now, because newer monitors don't need it.

Holla, if for some reason it does happen turn it off and turn it back on that SHOULD be an automatic degaus. However if it happens look for a degaus button first.

Newer CRT's still burnin, however it takes a couple months on our workstations which stay on the same screen 99% of the time and are on continually for 24/7/365...you've got no worries over a few days.
