I am about to order a dv1000 thru costco because of their 6 month return policy. It seems like the screen is so refelctive that it would be distracting- is this not the case? Im not sure whether to get the brightview screen or not. Also have question about which wireless network option to get- Intel/pro wireless 2200bg and bluetooth or integ. broadcom 802.11b/g wlan and bluetooth?Back to top. Any other suggestions?

If you use the laptop indoor most of the time then Brightview is the way to go. It provides significantly higher contrast. About the Intel Pro wireless, I think the broadcom is a bit better. But if you want that 'lil Centrino sticker, than you have to get the Intel.

Also with the Intel wireless, it will give you something closer to the advertised Centrino batt life. Using the Intel Pro Wireless Mini-PCI card allows your wi-fi to throttle between five power states, enhancing your batt life. Using a third-party card limits the throttling to what their cards support, which is usually limited if anything. Just an FYI
