Why the hell do they pronounce his name "FARV" when it is spelled like "FAV RAY"?

That and his braces (at age 30 something) piss me off.

Definitely in the Top 5. Currently yes, he's the best QB out there still playing.

Didn't Sports Illustrated rank the greatest quarterbacks of all time recently?

He gets my vote too. However Favre has been considered one of the elite for a long time...he's gotten MVP's and rings, and he's started over 160 games straight...he's absolutely a first ballot Hall of famer.

When he played Chicago last week...dang, he's got an amazing arm and footwork like a 22 year old. He's definitely one of the greats, based on his talent, his longevity, and his ability to win big games.

Favre is something else, it's amazing how he just MAKES thing's happen like he dose. Dose Joe Monta still have any of his own body parts left???? Everything on him is fake now! That man could NOT take the hits like Favre dose that's for sure, amazing player though. It's hard to call someone the greatest, the man I enjoyed watching the most in the QB position was Steve Young. I didn't like the way John Elway played though, all he did was stand in the pocket and NEVER ran, I like a QB that has more than just an arm and Favre is one of those player's. He's at the top with the best of them for sure.

Yah, Farve isn't one of those new breed multi threat run pass QB's. But when he needs to run, he gets the job done. He is just an all around good athlete with a huge heart - will to win! And on top of that he plays the game to play the game, not to get his money.

he's 33 and playing like he's 25 (but without all the interceptions) imagine if he plays like 5 or 6 more years, them stats are gonna be HUGE. And I think he's got 1 super bowl win left in him still.

You must be young. Elway was known for his athleticism and running ability. early on in his career he was considered TOO reckless.

Favre's a damn good QB and leads his team well but I wouldn't say he's the best QB ever. Very good top 5 candidate though.

I don't think he is the greatest of all time, but he is one of the best playing now and ranks among the best of all time. GB is my favorite football team by the way, so I am a little bias.

Damn do you people not know anything about the history of the game? I've only seen one person mention Unitas. Elway, Marino(best pure passer), Montana, and Favre are very good but none of them can be considered the best ever. Put one of them in the NFL of the 50's, 60's, or 70's and they wouldn't have survived. The rules are such now that the QB is over protected and has it much easier than in the past. Give me the tough old coots like Unitas, Blanda, Stabler, Bradshaw, Stabach, Starr, Tittle, Namath, or even Dan Fouts any day. Those guys played when it was still a rough and tumble game. QB's today have it much, MUCH easier than they ever did.

maybe but the athleticism of today's players is soo much better than those from 30 years ago that they're probably about equal.
