Is Blogger right for me?

I currently use blogger for my blog posting, but am discouraged because they seem to have a few problems and are somewhat slow to fix (unlike their parent company it seems). I would like to know what the good (and preferably free) blog type programs are out there, and what you think of them. What is the best one to move to? What are their good features you like? Any with email blog support?

Hmmm, I was just reading how LiveJournal and other blogs have been bought by larger companies. I wonder how that will affect things.

blogger seems to be the best one that you can just sign up for, without starting your own site.

How about you get yourself some hosting and use WordPress. All you have to do is create a mySQL database through your control panel, create a user, attach said user, then plug in the user name, password and database name into the config.php file. You're done. I mean it's simple as 123.

People are just bound and determined for me to learn this mySQL thing. I guess Ill have to figure out what that is.
