Is bioshock better with kb/m or 360 controller?

As it's a FPS and I'm a biased PC gamer, I'm going with KB+M.

However, if you play FPS games on the 360, then you'll probably feel comfortable with the controller too.

FPS and strategy games are usually far superior with a keyboard / mouse.

But, if you are fond of the 360's controller, by all means play it with that. PC gaming is about freedom and choice.

Yeah if you're used to a 360 controller then by all means use it. The game isn't really designed for the 360 controller in any special way, it really comes down to what you would rather aim with, a thumb joystick or a mouse.

keyboard and mouse ftw

But, I'll be first to admit that those action/adventure 360 ports to PC which we're all fond of are far more enjoyable with a USB 360 controller.

Since it's designed with Xbox 360 and PS3 in mind, I could go either way. Still not that fond of aiming with a controller, but playing on a 40" screen is sweet.

The pc version is f'd on kbm though. Requires some asinine level of tweaking to get rid of mouse acceleration and some other wonky console feelings.

Yea there are still many games that are better with a controller like driving games, and most 3rd person games. I play all the GTA games with a controller.

almost all third person games have such horrid consolitis that they require a controller.

bioshock, i found to be nearly unplayable with a gamepad (had it on 360). that game is mostly twitch shooting in an ammo wasteland.

Thinking of Dead Space maybe? The Steam version of BS doesn't have any issue with KB/M controls. DS' are horrible, though, until you either fix the vsync or fiddle with it.

True that. I gave up on playing DS with the KB+M after about 5mins. Found it worked much better with the 360 controller.

How many of you "KB+M or bust" people have actually tried playing BioShock with a mouse? It's painful. I enjoyed the game much more once I switched to using a gamepad. Not only does it put every single function right there (no need to reach all over the keyboard), but the mouse acceleration is really weird. Rather than mess with it I decided to just try the controller and I never looked back.

I played and finished BioShock with a mouse. It played just fine.

Nope the game has terrible and bizarre mouse accel problems. See the guy a few posts down from me.

Yeah, the mouse acceleration bothered me. I actually found myself getting tired playing with the mouse.
