FPS and strategy games are usually far superior with a keyboard / mouse.
But, if you are fond of the 360's controller, by all means play it with that. PC gaming is about freedom and choice.
keyboard and mouse ftw
But, I'll be first to admit that those action/adventure 360 ports to PC which we're all fond of are far more enjoyable with a USB 360 controller.
The pc version is f'd on kbm though. Requires some asinine level of tweaking to get rid of mouse acceleration and some other wonky console feelings.
Thinking of Dead Space maybe? The Steam version of BS doesn't have any issue with KB/M controls. DS' are horrible, though, until you either fix the vsync or fiddle with it.
How many of you "KB+M or bust" people have actually tried playing BioShock with a mouse? It's painful. I enjoyed the game much more once I switched to using a gamepad. Not only does it put every single function right there (no need to reach all over the keyboard), but the mouse acceleration is really weird. Rather than mess with it I decided to just try the controller and I never looked back.
I played and finished BioShock with a mouse. It played just fine.
me too.
I would never, ever consider using a game pad over kb+m for a pc fps.
